TO: SICCMA Members
TOPIC: Live-by-Telephone CEU session by Donald Balasa, JD, MBA, CEO and Legal Counsel of AAMA
DATE: Tuesday, February 26, 2019
The AAMA Continuing Education Board has authorized Donald Balasa, JD, MBA, CEO and Legal Counsel of AAMA to offer to our state societies and local chapters one-hour live-by-telephone CEU presentation entitled “The Professional Deregulation Movement: An Opportunity or Threat for Medical Assistance?” The format will present by live-telephone and attendees will be able to listen via speakerphone. Questions will be entertained at any time during the session. One (1) AAMA CEU in the General category will be available to members who stay and listen to the session of one-hour. One intent of this offer is to encourage state societies and local chapters to have a face-to-face meeting to listen to the presentation as a group. This should build comradery and fellowship in state societies and local chapters.
After the live-telephone session, our chapter will continue with the agenda of:
- Review of last meeting, May 2018
- How we can support the chapter?
- Officer Elections
- Changes to scope of practice?
- Leadership Conference, March 2019 in Issaquah, WA
- 2019 WSSMA Conference in Bellingham, WA
Water and light dinner will be provided. You are welcome to bring a dish as well.
Students/Non-Members are welcome! (However, as non-member, you will not be able to collect a CEU due to AAMA policy)
*Please send notice if you wish to be removed from the SICCMA mailing list.
