SCMA April General Meeting and CEU

Join us for our April general membership meeting and continuing education. General meeting will begin promptly at 6:30 with education to follow from Caryn Morawek  from IRG (Integrated Rehabilitation Group) in Mill Creek.

She will speak about Physical Therapy and the Healthcare Team.

Understanding the physical therapy options for patient healthcare needs.

This promises to be a very informational and enlightening discussion for most. Please join us and feel free to bring a friend!

SCMA: February CEU and officer installation

Snohomish Chapter – Location TBD but hopefully at Everett Community College

This CEU will be broadcast from AAMA headquarters in Chicago, IL by our CEO and legal counsel Don Balasa. Please be early as this will start promptly at 6 pm. and last for 2 hours. This talk is worth 2 CEU credits.

Topic: Scope of Practice

We will have installation and a reception for the 2018 officers immediately following the education.

There will be no general meeting in February.

Annual board member elections, general meeting and CEU

We will be having an election for new board members. We are voting on the positions of President, Vice President and Secretary. This will be done by ballot and in order to vote you must be a current member. Please bring a current copy of your AAMA membership card if you have it. We can verify your membership but having your card will speed the process along a little bit.

We will also be opening the floor for nominations for the positions. If you are interested please reach out to a board member so we can review the requirements with you.

Our education for the evening will be presented by Cynthia Tamlyn-CCA, Certified Clinical Aromatherapist will speak on the potential effects of essential oils misused by essential oil consumers who are not aware of the risks they’re taking. I.e. drug interactions, contraindications for existing health conditions, age appropriate use, etc.
