Providence is calling a Medical Assistant (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Breast Center at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.

Coordinates and cares for the patient going through any special procedure process. This position performs a variety of duties that could include reviewing patient history, greeting and screening patients, answering telephones, scheduling appointments, completing correspondence and quality improvement.

In this position you will:

  • Demonstrates application of knowledge, skills and behaviors in the physical, motor/sensory, cognitive, psychosocial, patient and family education areas based on PEMC age specific care competency assessment tool.
  • Demonstrates application of knowledge, skills, and behaviors in the physical, motor/sensory, cognitive, psychosocial, patient and family education areas based on PEMC age specific care competency assessment tool.
  • Schedules appointment appropriately and coordinates schedule with physician and other providers, obtains interpreters when necessary, and works with other community agencies when necessary. Makes reminder calls to patients to ensure they keep appointments and bring necessary referrals and insurance information.
  • Makes follow-up calls to patients to check on condition
  • Greets all patients courteously and promptly. Escorts patients to procedure room and reviews history and physical (H&P) data for changes. Ensures that there is enough time for patient and family education
  • Obtains and records vital signs and other appropriate information, such as height, weight, drug allergies, current medication and presenting problem specific to adolescents and adults


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED or equivalent educ/experience
  • Medical Assistant Training Program Graduate
  • Experience in draw lab work, monitor VSS and statistical analysis
  • Current MA – Certified license through the WA St. DOH
  • Current certification in CPR
